Just got my first case of 100 watt incandescents from Amazon today - the hoarding has begun! I don't have confidence these Republicans will do the right thing and repeal the ban, they're too beholden to the lobbyists.

What do they do about the three-way bulbs that most of the lamps in my house take.

50-100-150 watts or 30-70-100 watts.

I've never seen a " fluorescent bulb" replacement for these bulbs.

The People Who Know Better Than You

From today's Cafe Hayek:

Quotation of the Day…

… is the closing two sentences of Thomas Sowell’s 1980 magnum opus Knowledge and Decisions

; for many years this quotation adorned my office door:

"Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their “betters.”"
