The numbers don't stack up in spite of his going on the offensive about it, which he did, making a point to make fun a noted site online where many women write and go to read. Forty percent is not 50% but I don't think we should have to follow an exact quota when hiring people. I think the real problem is that most of these women are 'behind the camera' instead of in front of it. I think that's what got the complaint started. He needs to hire more women who go on the air with him. And from what Bentway posted it doesn't sound like the women on the show were forced to make that announcement. Its about picking your battles........ I know more and more women who are tiring of Stewart, even after defended after the incident you reference. I am not a woman but I am tiring of Stewart as well. I can't put my finger on it but there are times when he hits false notes. Nonetheless, I still like a lot of his stuff.....and I like how he takes on conservatives and people at Fox......and makes that look foolish. He holds a mirror to their faces and forces them to look.
