Do you think someone who starts a fist fight for example should be executed?

I think that an unprovoked assault, such as the case of the thug who attacked the innocent and defenseless blind woman sitting on the bus, should be a capital punishment offense.

But, not everyone who starts a fist fight should be executed.

Two cases:

1. If you and I are complete strangers, and you spot me at a sporting event and you tell your friends, "Look at that guy over there. I don't like the looks of him. I'm going to beat his ass just for the hell of it," and then you walk up to me and blindside with a punch to the head, I think you should receive capital punishment. It was a completely unprovoked assault.

2. If you and I are complete strangers, and I'm leering at your girlfriend in a bar and you tell me to stop, and I respond by giving you the finger and making lewd catcalls at her, and you respond by punching me in the face, I do not think you should receive any punishment at all. It was a provoked assault.

There should also be exceptions for cases of mistaken identity, misunderstandings, and so forth.

Bottom line: If a person is so evil that he will perpetrate unprovoked violent assaults, you're damn right... I think he should be permanently destroyed before he can hurt anyone else.

Furthermore, citizens should have the right to use lethal force to protect themselves, no questions asked.
