These dim-able CFL's don't get very good reviews and don't work with most of the existing dimmers switches. You'll need to replace your dimmer switches with the "new"/"expensive" kind in order for them to work.

I have new and old dimmer switches.

The issue is that the 1st gen 'dimmable' fluorescent's do not smoothly dim. My normal bulbs are 60 watts and at 50% show 30 and at 25% show 15.

The fluorescent's go 10-12-15-60 at 25-50-75 and 100%.

In a word - they suck. But its been almost a year - the technology may have improved.
