They care about the weak and criplled, the young and old and are willing to help them. Self reliance. Are you kidding? I used to work all night in factories and go straight to my classes at college still in my work clothes. Paid myself all the way through college. Work in the oil fields for years mostly setting pipe. And I have lived in the wildes of Alaska for the last 45 years and have been the Director of 3 state agencies, AND fought the armies of ignorance in the political arena for 30 years. Rely on others? Never had the luxury! Also spent $500,000 putting two kids through college, took care of my mother for 20 years. And still working full time at 70. You want real self reliance look to the liberals! I understand conservative ideology perfectly, thank you very much.
