Maybe those priests were very wise or maybe the rules come from the being that made humans and knows their nature.

Brumar.. I'm not saying there isn't a place for "rules" as a guideline in one's spiritual and moral thinking.

But remember that, throughout the centuries, these same religious leaders gave us Jihad, Crusade.. and various other wars of conquest fought in the name of the "faith" (but really to advance religious power and influence of the church).

They are also the people who gave us the phrase.. "kill them all, God will know his own"..

If we acknowledge the good, we must acknowledge the bad..
