Personally speaking, if they really wanted to jolt the economy out of it's malaise (however temporarily), they should have done the SPR release along with QE2.

I don't think having the Fed pumping money into a system that is still deleveraging does any good.

But lower energy prices and that reshapes a corporation's entire risk/reward analysis.

And personally speaking, there is just no reason oil prices should be this high, given the global glut and stagnant demand.
