Senators Joe Lieberman and Tom Coburn have introduced a bill to cut Medicare benefits, increase health insurance premiums and raise the retirement age for seniors over the next 10 years. Lieberman introduced the bill in order to demonstrate "bipartisan support" for cutting Medicare benefits as part of the ongoing debate over the debt ceiling.

Support for cutting seniors access to health care among the political classes is growing quickly, and we need to escalate our efforts right now. Our pledge to protect Social Security is no longer enough -- we are now in a fight to save the entire social safety net.

It's time to Say NO to Joe Lieberman and vow not to vote for or donate to any politician looking to cut social safety net programs like Medicare and Social Security.
