It was a big year for snow in the Sierra, but doesn't even come close to 1982/83.

I was just up on Mt Whitney this past weekend and there are ample amounts of snow starting at 10,000'. Winter mountaineering skills will be needed to summit for at least two more weeks.

I predict that snowpack levels next year will be below average...as is normal after a couple of good years in California.

Since I do love nature, I did my part and carried down two used wagbags that had been abandoned by other hikers. I am pretty sure both of those hikers were Obama supporters. I know this because those were some stinky wagbags. And lord knows that my sh!t don't stink.
