How could this guy write an email column and admit to having 1944 emails in his inbox dating back to 2008 and 2009. I get about 40-50 emails daily, much of it inane, but that I have invited. Fortunately, I don't get a lot of spam because when I register, when there is an option, I choose not have my address shared.

Also, contrary to his opinion blocking does work for me. Using Outlook where I can determine a recipient to be a "safe sender" or "blocked sender" or mark them to my "junk mail" folder. Some stuff gets through, some erroneously ends up in junk, but for the most part it's efficient.
