Brian - Re: "..my sources informed me a few weeks back that the .25 micron is definitely improving in yield ."

Several weeks ago would be BEFORE November 6, 1997 I presume.

How do you explain that on November 6, 1997 Jerry Sanders, the Chairamn and CEO of AMD told 300 Analysts at AMD's analyst meeting that yields were still not improving and that AMD would fall well short of making their goal of 2,000,000 K6's in Q4?

Please consider that Jerry Sanders ALSO said on September 3 that AMD WAS CURRENTLY MAKING nearly 150,000 K6's per week, which would imply 1.95 million K6's could be produced in a 13 week quarter (presumably Q4).

Something doesn't compute.

Are your sources more reliable than Jerry Sanders?
