French culture is not that difficult to understand. They are playful. Dsk is a gentleman, so far as we know, as long as we ignore all unsubstantiated rubbish published by American corporate press, which we must. His accuser is a wastrel, and as bad as proven. That is all there is to it. If I were a French electorate, out with sarkozy for pulling a stunt as he must have.

i think the only reason the nyc da has not thrown out the case and apologized to the righteous dsk is because of the then enveloping and dire legal consequences of having abetted a conspiracy against dsk and executed false arrest of said gentleman per a very flawed legal media regime and political cinema star star system that lets a murderous and bloody and flighty oj go free and send dsk, without basis, to de facto prison and effective several hundred k fine, and never mind the libel etc a public apology is due, and the entire city establishment should stand on the street corner in shame and the rule-of-law mayor of nyc should do as this rule-of-what-is-right chinese official does, like just so asianoffbeat.com (do notice all the un-free small-press folks all about the scene ;0) this is what i mean when i say the chinese government, at all levels, are terrified of the people they lead and rule whereas the american officialdom cannot care less about the folks they are supposed to lead but cannot, but is effectively lording over and de facto exploiting, by the trillions - what is to fear, get thrown out of office for a four-years holiday and start fresh with making up still newer new laws? i recommend this device en.wikipedia.org and the political process by which it would be most effective.
