I know what you mean about "affordable housing" having a decidedly different meaning down here than it does on the coasts. It's part of what's kept me in Texas all these years.

I've never been to Sugar Land, but understand it's nice. My wife and I live closer in...inside 635, which is equivalent to inside 610, I guess (but definitely not equivalent to River Oaks in our case). Just like down there, you pay a premium for close in. But since it's just the two of us, we can offset the per-square-foot with fewer square feet. Anyway, I grew up here, and I'm attached to the old haunts.
