It's good to know that you now know she has a virus. Maybe the followup EEG might have further answers to explain the seizures.

Has she been taking supplements of any kind or been on any other kind of medication before the seizures happened. If so, perhaps a reaction to any one of them might have caused those to happen unexpectedly.

When I had a reaction to all the antibiotics they were giving me in 20001 after my Cancer surgery for a fever I was running, I broke out in a rash from my scalp down to my toes and the rash was a red circle with a red a dot in the middle. The doctor who was head of the Hospital Infection Control Dept. came in and gave me a list of antibiotics they were treating me with and told me to have the list put on all my medial records and if I went to any new doctors to immediately have them recorded as I was allergic to all of them. I carry the list in my billfold with my emergency information card. I made copies of them for my family so everyone would be prepared if I happened to be in any kind of accident or become ill and I am unable to inform the medics who were taking care of me and then any one of them could be my advocate with the list. I have now added iodine because of a Pet Scan a couple of years ago I had done by my Urologist of my liver and had Iodine injected into my veins for the test and had a reaction. I had been asked if I was allergic to anything and told them only what I had on my records which didn't have Iodine listed.

The strange thought to me was I had never been allergic to any of them before and had been treated with certain ones for other problems and all of a sudden I can't rely on any of them for help with any medical problem so I try to stay well.
