Since the sale to GNET and all the subsequent iterations, SI management has talked down to the membership and told us how things will be. Maybe that will change now with a return to the founders, but so far all we get is a midnight sale with no new mission statement and vague promises of great things to come again. Maybe the site has some magical existence beyond its active long-term posters, but it is well hidden if it's there.

..This site has way to much bickering.... IMHO this THREAD has way too much bickering...Mountains being made of mole hills...sigh.... Site model FAR from dead...and can only look forward to further improvement with move now into Brad's very capable hands ...

"Seems to me that is why people are migrating to facebook. " Not so anyway. People are leaving Facebook in droves !!!! "A report on Inside Facebook said that the number of Canadian Facebook users fell by 1.52 million to 16.6 million during the month." cbc.ca heraldsun.com.au Facebook is a failed experiment as are all the social media sites in my opinion. In this day and age almost everything gets hacked so why give anyone information at all? Why be friends with people you don't know? Why give hackers anything at all? I'm also talking about government breaking wiretapping laws by allowing companies like Google to drive by your house and steal emails and stuff off your unsecured home networks
