I have no idea really what these people think other than wild generalisations I can guess at because of their political affiliations. I haven't listened to any of them much so don't know: <Backman, Beck, Rush, Coulter, Palin, etc. No intelligence or compassion anywhere there. > I'm sure they have some intelligence and probably some compassion too. I don't want to get into political people because there's enough political ranting in SI.

Al Gore is okay coz he's an environmental crusader - actually a power, girls, glory, and money crusader, which is not quite the same thing.

I have watched and listened to Beck a bit to see what the heck so many Americans are watching and presumably agreeing with somewhat. Maybe they all watch as I have, out of idle curiosity to see what people are talking about. I'd have to ask Google who the heck Coulter. I know Sarah Palin looks like Tina Fey when Tina dresses up to mimic her but I don't know what she says much.

Back to CO2 and environmental matters. Politicians will go along with wherever the mob is moving, leading by keeping an eye on the herd to see which way to jump. Julia Gillard is going to be dumped for telling people what to think - when what she told them was plain wrong. She told them a carbon tax would be good for them. That doesn't pass the laugh test.
