1. Weak demand.


They are sold out........how is that weak demand. They have said from the getgo they are only building 10K this year which suggests they didn't think they have a Chevy Cruz on their hands.

2. Insane cost to build means it will be dead before it is profitable, GM's claims notwithstanding.

I don't know if that is true but then, you don't know either.

3. Insanely high price to consumers means it can't compete without government subsidies which are going to have to go at some point (hopefully soon).

Not as a mass market product but as a niche product.......of course it can.

4. Better technology available elsewhere.

Where? Who? What? Please don't tell me about the Nissan Leaf. Already we are hearing complaints about how impractical that car is.......in the capital of hybrid, Seattle.......which hasn't met a hybrid it doesn't like.

May I suggest.........don't give up your day job.......for auto analysis.
