I must admit I am impressed with this market gauge. It has been gradually signalling a change in short term direction for a few days and it peaked on friday.

When it goes up this fast it goes down this fast too. Total insanity. I notice that correctly valued stocks are not moving while insanely overvalued stocks are moving up by huge amounts, (compare DLJ with SCH!) I agree with an earlier post, the brokerages want to shake out the put-holders.
SCH is my proxy for short-covering rallies, its price movement says this is a short-covering rally.
