Ex-Hollywood City Manager To Get Almost $300K Severance Package plus $9k/mo (108k/yr) when he turns 55. What do you think a CEO, essentially what he was, with the same responsibilities would get in the private sector? Add at least one zero to the end.

Its because they are competing with corps whose paygrades for upper mgmt have gone through the roof. To get decent people, cities have to up their salaries.......same with universities. A chancellor of a good size university makes at least one million per year these days The rich get richer while the poor get poorer and your teaper buds are helping that scenario grow stronger.......not that you care.
