There is a lot of valuable history on the site, so nothing will get deleted, but it might make sense to "close" subjects and let them fall off of the main forum lists (only show anything active in last 3 months).

I probably need to do a better job of highlighting new subjects too, because it seems very difficult to get one started unless you already have a substantial following.

"space" doesn't work that way. They are only links and links take up absolutely no space on the server. One never knows when someone wants to post on a thread that's 3 years old although doubtful.
