We have loaded up with humans [all-time world record by an order of magnitude - 6 billion compared with 1 billion a century or two ago], piled high [nearly up to a kilometre in Dubai and hundreds of metres in Hong Kong and many cities], with no visible means of support nearby [food, water, rubbish dumps], questionable cash flow, geopolitical megalomania, with nukes, any amount of artillery and other weaponry, lots of diseases lurking [H5N1, sars and friends], loaded up with debt and free-loading entitlement [government spivs and their electorates], serfitude for the rest, living life as a state chattel [as though a vote is some compensation], no "New World" to flee to. There are no signs "Smoking not permitted". In fact, ignition sources are ready to flick at the click of a mouse.
