Bernie,

Please post the analyst's projections. Thanks.

Also, I use Erol's as an ISP. They are fairly reliable, although they tend to slow down at peak East and West coast overlap times. I think Erol's may be local to Washington, D.C. I pay about $12 / month for unlimited access.

Anecdote: I work part-time as an engineer (communication satellites). The full-time engineering staff has completed an evaluation of the Nextel PowerPhone (they were lent a few for trial) and have great things to say about it. I think the total group of users would be 30 - 50. They were going to sign up, but decided to wait for the new phone (early next year ?). Reason: apparently the group can lease phones @ $7/month; if they switch equipment (new phone), it costs @$50. So, they'll stay on their current provider until the new phones come out to avoid the switch-over charge.

Rob

Bernie: RE: ISP.

I just returned my Robotics 56kps modem, but in the package they named approx 100 ISP's that had 2x service. Log into the US Robotics internet site (don't know the address offhand) and you will get some good info on 2x providers. That is the big question to ask if you want speed in the future, normal ISPs cannot provide the speed that the new modems are capable of. Ironic, AOL was on the list.
