What is the purpose or "mission statement" of SI going forward? ie is the focus to be on stock discussion, political discussion, anything goes? As it has been in the past...focus on Stock Discussion, but anything goes. I do not anticipate re-integrating with a data provider however. There's no reason to when everyone has their favorite data sources; historically most people have ignored SI's attempts to become more than just discussion. So from that perspective it's not going to be a "vertical" investment site. 2. Do you currently have, or intend to have, club-type boards that only those invited to post can post but those not invited cannot read? Given that political boards are very emotional, this may be an option to cut down the noise. Not in the near future, although I might add the ability to include multiple recipients on PMs, such that a PM exchange could become a pseudo-private subject. Other than that, SI is a public discussion site. 3. Does your current setup allow multiple MODERATORS on a board? If so, any limit; if not, any plans to implement? Not currently, but I plan to add that in the next version.4. I, personally, do not like the notion of a circuit breaker on a board. To me that smacks of censorship...but that's just me. It doesn't strike me as censorship if it applies equally to all members. But I haven't received a lot of support for the idea, so it's likely not going to happen any time soon. I am liking the idea of no more than 1 post every 10 minutes, or perhaps no more than 10 posts in an hour across the entire site. If you are writing more than once every 5 minutes, then you should be using a real-time chat (does SI need a chat tool? Would it help take conversations about the weather offline?) 5. Is there an option such that the icons "HOME" "MAIL" etc that are currently displayed at the bottom of a page can be displayed at the top of the page instead? Perhaps just add "HOME" "PROFILE" & "HOT" to the 4 that are currently displayed at the top right. Not currently, but there will certainly be tons of customization in the next version, such that you can choose from 8-10 icons (each with its own functionality); put as many or as few on the navigation as you like, in whatever order.
