I just received my Blackstone k-1 (not an MLP) last week and two recharacterized k-1s from MLPs in mid-June. I just file an automatic extension anymore and make a payment on 4/15. I wholeheartedly would support a tax code revision along the lines of that recommended by the late Jack Kemp maybe 25 years ago. Every problem we are having now was predicted then. I think a 86 plus page tax return is idiotic for someone with my income. I follow the IV MLP board but there is way too much time spent on ubti and other issues there with retired guys spending endless hours doing spread sheets. What MLP's do you like or do you stay away from them because of the return of capital. I have EDP and LINE only at this time.
