Then you and your wife need to stop going to Yankee games.

Not sure how I missed your post Bearcatbob!

Now that Jays have come and gone, you've had an opportunity to see this teams split personality exemplified by their blowing the 1st game and winning the final 3 of the 4 game series.

Jays glaring remaining weakness remains their bullpen, evidenced in the diabolical loss in the 1st game when they were leading 4-0 going into the bottom of the 9th, only to lose 5-4 on a walk-off grand slam. Jays have already lost 15 games as a result of their inconsistent bullpen, compared to 16 all of last year. Sure would like to get one of those Atlanta closers.

Fortunately, Bautista led the way in the final 3 games with some significant offensive support from those 2 young left handed bats, Snider and Thames, who have filled the 2 other glaring offensive weaknesses that existed before their arrival.

Jays are reshaping this year and await the Lawrie callup in August (he'd be up already were it not for a HBP on his hand). Lawrie is just one of a growing corps of young talent in their minor league system that has catapulted to no. 4 ranking from no. 28 in the past one year and includes others like Gose, a 19 year old future centre fielder, Cooper, a 1st baseman, who is hitting the cover off the ball at .360, Sierra, an outfielder with power, Hecchavaria, the Cuban SS that the Jays outbid the Yankees on, a trio of catchers, and fairly deep pitching including Lind, Stewart amongst 5 or 6 others.

With Bautista's leadership qualities and so much young talent in the wings, the future bodes well for the Jays!

Exciting time to be a Jays fan!

Perhaps Cleveland could obtain a right-handed bat (Encarnacion?) from Toronto in exchange for some relief pitching?
