why the need for banning if you have the ability to completely ignore not only the messages by a member, but the responses?

as far as mods having the ability to delete messages...eek! I just see that as a creating an unending number of conflicts that need resolution by the admin.

On this Henry, I totally disagree with you. I've experienced what happens when what you wish for gets implemented, on siliconinvestor.com which - due to the implementation of moderators, post zapping and banning - has become a despicable den of thieves.
