It's just that I don't see in a good track record in negotiating major legislation. I hope you're right.

You underestimate Obama. I think you might be in for a surprise.


There is no real precedent or training to be president. So, unfortunately, our presidents have to learn on the job. In the last few months, I have noticed a different gait to Obama's walk. To me, it feels like he is coming into his own as president. And that will make a difference in these negotiations.

Plus, you overestimate the Rs. They are not as united as we think. It looks like Cantor wants Boehner's job. These are two minor minds........clashes between minor minds can lead to all kinds of chaos.

In addition, the Rs don't have the will of the American people to their back.........and they know it. In fact, I sense they are getting very nervous.

We'll see how this plays out.
