The most important ones are the separation of the output into #2 fuel oil and gasoline fractions, where before it was one liquid described as "near diesel".

The other important change is the modification of the system to allow constant removal of the "char" remaining after the pyrolysis of the plastic. Previous it was expected that the reactor would have to be shut down once a week for char removal. Now that is an ongoing process with an expected shut down of once a month or longer.
