Pelosi says "Medicare and Social Security benefit cuts are non-negotiable."

Boehner says "tax increases are non negotiable".

Obama says: "with the expectation that parties will at least know what each other's bottom lines are and will hopefully be in a position to start engaging in the hard bargaining necessary to get a deal done."

It's absurd.

No kidding. I've said this so many times........the 2000 election was the first presidential election where I became engaged. I had only a vague understanding of the two parties and for what they represented. However, early in the campaign, Bush and Rove were at some rally and Bush was supposed to speak. They were on stage, talking with each other and waiting for the event gto et started. They didn't realize the mic was on.......and they were trash talking the media and some other people. I was stunned. When I worked for the councilman, there were two rules when we were out in public........no political talk between us and no negative comments. So I was really surprised at the comments these two yahoos made.....and Bush was running for the presidency. That's when I started to find out more about Bush and learned how lame he was.

The night of the election I stayed up.........never had done that before for any election. I was that worried about the outcome. I knew if Bush won it would be very bad for the country. When Florida flip flopped, I nearly blew my cookies. What ensued confirmed my worst fears. And sadly, what this country was put through in his next 8 years in office is far worse than even I envisioned back in 2000.

We have a serious problem. There is an element of the population that has gone over the edge. And Pelosi and Obama have to stand strong. I may not believe in the devil but I do believe that there is a dark side to Man.......and that's what Obama and Pelosi are facing.
