I agree with adding 2 or 3 pixels on the left if it helps readability on small screens, but white space also helps readability. When Yahoo Finance changed the format for their historical price and volume tables, it became less visible and too tight a mass of data. I don't see where Brad will take those 2-3 pixels. I like showing the time in seconds. The Subject column doesn't have much white space on my screen. The Recs column is as narrow as it could be, on my screen.
