Compassion or contempt? The good old false dichotomy. I'll go with contempt for such thinking thanks, and compassion for the victims of their contempt, who are the hard done by taxpayers and citizens in serfitude.

Primarily Ayn Rand was against government holding too much power. Jefferson and Washington were against the government holding too much power. The U.S. and the world is trying to stave off a major financial meltdown mostly because of government intervention in the economy. The solution appears to be more government intervention in the economy which is only delaying and making the inevitable worse.


There is no question about service Wharfy but if you're providing it free of charge in exchange for nothing that is servitude and not service.

Regarding the unfortunate murder of the little girl the actual story is below.
