I dont know exco from a hole in the wall but this seems like a very cockamamie proposal from anyone let alone the ceo. without knowing much of the company i would have concerns about management who is capable of putting forth such a proposal without having any financing already lined up.

EXCO Resources Inc. (XCO) off 8.5% to $12.67/share.

W. Ross is in at much higher levels probably around $14.00-$15.00/.. A Value play or a value trap?

From the article:"...Mr. Ross’ investment firm disclosed in a regulatory filing that it now owns about 12 percent of the natural gas producer as of Friday. That’s up from the 9.8 percent that W.L. Ross & Company reported in February...."

Volume is 4x the average and down back close to it's 52wk low. Three year 2009 lows are back around $6.00/share.

Stock looks like it is headed lower especially with NG below $4.00/MMBtu ($3.92/MMBtu according to Bloomberg).
