Interesting....a few months ago I met the young founder of a high end web development company that is based in a loft in downtown Holland, Michigan -- and they have clients like Apple, Zynga, and Stryker Medical....top technical talent is spread out around this country in places where we don't always expect to find it...;-)

Look for play and pass games on the iPad. It will replace all board games. Why setup a board game when you can have the iPad do it in a 1/10 of a second. Plus you can also play online as well.
