I don't know what's the hassle you're talking about. You drive the car into your garage and plug it in. Unplug it before you drive out.

Yeah, it only saves like 1/4 gallon of gas (considering Prius mileage) per charge, but considering that the Prius is already stingy with gas, that's significant percentage-wise. If your daily commute is 26 miles round-trip, you're saving 50% on gas.
