> Dude, you are willing to listen to Stossel,

Actually, I understand why commodity futures exist. I posted the Stossel link because I thought he did a great job of conveying it for people who clearly do not.

You think the university professor did a good job of explaining speculation in the oil markets? Seriously? He said nothing. He talked about them moving oil around like it was a good thing.......moving oil from where there is a shortage to where there is a surplus. If Stossel had put a real oil trader on that show instead of the weak woman he did have on........a favorite tactic of Fox btw, the oil trader would have laughed in that prof's vampire face.

What is it with people like you? Is it all partisan? Do you believe such BS because it undercuts Obama? Serious questions.......because you're fukking with the country here.

> Your homework is to figure out why silver dropped from $48 to $30, a 38% drop, virtually overnite:

Your homework is to explain WTF that has to do with anything. Silver is a highly volatile, speculative market and one should EXPECT these kinds of variations, particularly after an insane runup like it had experienced.

Do the homework........you may learn something.

Get back to the point. The ability for businesses to secure futures pricing is essential to our economy. This dolt Al actually suggested we do away with it. An absurdly ignorant suggestion.

Actually from what I read, he was saying to do away with the speculation.........something very different from what you are saying up above. Are you purposely misunderstanding because it fits your partisan agenda?

And here you are, trying to support that ridiculousness.

Oil is one of the most essential elements in the American economy. To allow whats going on with oil trading.......the way its being done.......is nearly criminal. And you are a complete ass for trying to justify it................poorly, I might add........if not behaving very unAmerican.
