I think these and other pipelines are excellent investments--how else are we going to move all the oil and gas we need. They yield over 5% and in the past 2 years the price appreciations have been terrific. An all in one closed end fund that owns almost all of them is CEM----although you do have to give them about 1.5% in fees (the trade off for that is it makes doing ones taxes much easier--no form K for each company).
