Sometimes. Sometimes it just turns you into an old maid.

As I have told you, I am long DELL because long-term it is going up.
I don't like paying short-term taxes.

Since you apparently don't mind, perhaps on the premise that it is better to pay taxes than not to have a reason to, I am merely strongly suggesting that you cash in your profits, go long, and if you want to short it again, do so... but at a higher level, because it is going up, at least until after earnings.

If you are right about its long-term fall, you treble your profits by riding it each direction. If I am right, you protect yourself against losing all of your profits and increase your short-term profit potential.
