I sure agree with your comment about using backup data, from reliable sources, when one posts a specific fact, ie, the GDP is forecasted to grow at 1.7% next year. I would post the source of information to backup this statement. The only time I would not post the backup is if the data were obvious to everyone. (By the way, I'm using an example here, I'm not saying that this is a fact.)

I should add that I spent my career in a high tech industry and have written a number of technical papers. So, I sure know what it means to have one's facts available for review.

To my knowledge, all my postings to date have expressed my opinion or thoughts on various matters.

I learned a lot about politics when I worked in Corporate America. In that world politics is a standard way of life. I held positions where I needed to achieve consensuses from the work force. If not, we could lose a lot of money and of course business.
