Two of the stocks in the SOXM, AVGO and ALTR, are presently listed in the IBD top 50 stocks. AVGO is ranked number 22 and ALTR is ranked number 29. I was curious as to the earnings picture for these 2 stocks, both past and present. Also how close were they presently selling compared to their 12 month target price. Both stocks have good earnings in the past 2 to 3 years, ie, no quarters with negative earnings to report and solid estimates going forward for the next couple of years. Both stocks have very similar earnings actuals and estimates. Both stocks are presently selling very near their 12 month target prices.
