Hank,

I never said it wouldn't go down. I am one who acknowledges that it does go up and down. At one point a couple of months ago, when DELL was trading at about 84, steve said that we should expect a 30% pull back in the price. I was willing to bet him that DELL would go to 108 before it went to 60. Still am. That did not say it would not go down. It merely said that I was fairly certain it would not go down that far from that point. Steve did get his 30% pull back, but not until DELL had exceeded 103. And that did surprise me, but it was not a "DELL" pullback, so much as a market pullback.

My point is that the short term trend for DELL is strongly upwards. The DellHeads who have followed DELL for some time know that DELL tends to split when it reaches the $80 level. There is no negative news coming out, and potentially very good news.

That is why I suggest you cover your shorts, go long, and then after the earnings announcement, you can go short again if you think that is the correct policy.

Regards, 3.
