> Newspapers in this country are hardly liberal

ROTFLMAO.

Laugh all you want but its true. For an example, the owner of the Seattle Times is an R and his opinions influence the paper's reporters even if they are liberal and despite the fact that metro Seattle is liberal.

When Bush wanted to go to war against Iraq, every major paper in this country, including the NY Times, got behind him despite the fact the evidence Bush was citing for his war claims was fairly flimsy. That's when I started reading the UK papers. Frankly, these days, I don't trust American media to tell the truth on those issues which effect the best interests of the corps that own them.

The 'liberal MSM' is just another myth perpetuated by wingers; one they can pull it out on those rare occasions when the media disagrees with them on major policy issues.
