Your ignorance is on display everyday you post here. Cincinnati high forecast today is 99 degrees. Record high recorded in 1936 of 104.

Wow, hot again in the middle of summer. What will happen next, cold during winter?

And long term Phoenix residents are still talking about that 1 mile high, 50 mile wide, very high speed wind dust storm that hit them last week..."never seen anything like it"...which apparently includes 2004 and 2007...My gosh.

and yet there are many recorded examples of dust storms, in spite of the eyewitness reports of "never seen anything like it".

I know some people who live in the sierras who said they had never seen a winter like 2010/2011. And yet, the winter of 82/83 was much more extreme.

And if you go back 20 years before that, 62/63 was even more extreme than 82/83.

In other words, generally speaking, the closer in time that an event happens, the more extreme it seems. Hence "never saw anything like it before"
