>> Besides, it makes no sense to advocate government regulating minor things like light bulbs, then telling others not to make a big deal over "minor things." What other minor choices do you want government making for you?

Shouldn't they just go ahead and mandate that all new homes have solar panels like Al does? Because if Al thinks it is the right thing for him, it must be the right thing for everyone, no?

Doesn't matter if government is forcing their hand upon manufacturers or consumers. Doesn't matter if some Republicans like the idea.

It matters in that the braindead wingers here peddle the notion that this is a) dems want to take your incandescent bulbs away and force you to use CFLs...neither of which is true.

The net effect is the same. Less choice, more bloated government.

That's non sense...it turns out that you have more choice...you can you can still buy incandescent bulbs only more efficient, or you can use LEDs and CFLs...and government has nothing more to do with it.

Besides, it makes no sense to advocate government regulating minor things like light bulbs, then telling others not to make a big deal over "minor things."

I don't know what you're talking about.

Al
