> States have had to cut back on services and unemployment benefits because there are less monies coming from the fed gov't which has had to cut back due to reduced revenues.

Federal spending for 2010 was 5,800,000,000,000.

Federal spending for 2011 is 6,100,000,000,000.

So, WTF does "less revenue" have to do with anything?

Ask your R leaders. They are the ones cutting funding to the states and unemployment. Apparently, they think there are better uses for federal revenues. Maybe they are cutting checks to The Rich because you know trickle down spending has been so successful in the past in stimulating the economy. Oh wait............
