No I hadn't, thanks for the link. An interesting slant, but I don't buy it. The McConnell plan, as I understand it, effectively gives the field to Obama to do whatever he wants. And the GOP then has political cover to say "it wasn't our fault".

That may play well in Washington. But in the provinces it looks like the GOP is abdicating their responsibilities and letting business go on as usual. They weren't elected to give all policy decisions to Obama and then cry about the result. They were elected to set things right.

They're now in a position to do that. If not now, when? Saying we'll all just have to wait until 2013 is hardly inspiring and assumes a hell of a lot (for one, that Obama is defeated, which is anything but a slamdunk IMO).
