studdog, my immediate feedback, more in the way of ruminating out loud:

(i) gold one of very few "giffen" goods - people wish for more as its price increases

(ii) gold belongs in a fascinating class of goods, giffen or otherwise, that is absolutely useless, and would always be useless, except for its once in every so many generations call-of-dire-duty

(iii) gold is very much like a few parachutes on a perfectly good airplane, useless, and as and when its attributed value increases, price increases, demand for it follows the price, because all would know gold is about to answer a call-of-dire-duty

unlike parachute ...

(iv) gold is addictive - the more one has, the more one wants to have

(v) gold is timeless, so far, in that its utility, giffen-ness, and such, seem ordained

(vi) gold is freedom, rebellion, a political metal, metal of faith, an 'opt-out' metal, and is true. and gold is all macro, its pricing embodies all that is known and knowable even when unknown.

can one ever have enough gold?

(vii) by above attributes, one can never have enough gold, and given its timeless nature, what we do not call on can be passed down to the next generation so that they have a backstop.

the 'trick' is to how we might give full expression to our adulation for gold by making our aggregation a self-sustaining exercise, meaning we must get to state where we generate more gold through the act of adoring gold. once such is, we will have discovered the true secret to gold.

(viii) i try my best to generate the capital for accumulation of physical gold by dancing with the naked short put and covered short calls on gold, its relations (rich man's gold platinum / poor man's gold silver), sources, and derivatives.

so, yes, getmoregold

it is our imperative until we leave this world, and as long as we have the passion as well as the knack, why not? for getting it is just a part of on-line entertainment and off-line amusement.

(ix) if there is any manifestation of god, god's workers, god's work, and god's teachings, gold must be it.

amen.

Stud---I did exactly the same thing. However, I'm now beginning to wonder when the US will confiscate my gold. That would really pi$$ me off. Have not figured out whether its illegal or not to move it out of the country. If u or any one else comes across additional strategies--please share TIA----Peace
