It's easy to say spending should be cut as along as you don't say what spending should be cut. As soon as you start talking about SS, Medicare, Vets benefits etc, the protests begin.

I am sure Mr. Peebles as a businessman had to make spending cuts which may even required employees losing their jobs. As a businessman he made those cuts. Politicians on the other hand are not willing to make those cuts. That is why government programs are never cut or eliminated. Never ever even if proven to be ineffective and just a waste of government funds.
You should really watch the John Sossell TV show sometime. Like the week he got a free golf cart.
