Its clear you're angry at God for letting bad things happen to people. Lots of people are but it doesn't help you any.

Al, > I don't believe in god...NA to me.

Except when you see people expressing a belief in God. Especially after surviving a tragedy. That seems to ruffle your feathers.

I can understand if you fear them interfering in your life via government regulation. I too am against said interference.

But there's a point where it just becomes sheer intolerance.

Just for you, Al:

An Austrian atheist has won the right to be shown on his driving-licence photo wearing a pasta strainer as "religious headgear".

He belongs to the "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster." Their only dogma is the rejection of dogma.

Sounds like your kind of religion. ;-)

I think you've both got it wrong. I'm an agnostic, because I admit I don't KNOW if there's a God. Not only that, if there was a God that I could understand enough to worship, that alone would render Him too small, and not worth worshiping!

Besides, if you look at the totality of religions, past and present, all different, all conflicting - they can't ALL be right! One God seems no more advanced than a pantheon to me. There's a panoply of creatures on this Earth, it seems like there would be a pantheon of beings beyond our ken, if there were ANY.

I see atheism as superior to religion, which is, after all, just today's primitive superstition. But agnostic is the correct, scientific position.

As above, so below..
