I had a cough and it gradually got worse, so I switched. I think it is fairly common.

I had been on Lisinopril for 2 years before I developed a cough. Changed meds and a couple of weeks later the coughing quit. I had read lots of people had been to all kinds of docs and spent lots of money and could not find the cure until they got off of the drug. I read the literature and it says that the cough occurs in approximately 10 % of those who take it!

that drug caused my kidneys to shut down in less than a day. I know this because my ankles turned dark and swelled, and my blood pressure soared. I didn't take it again.
Some medications will actually cause a heart attack if you try to get off of them. gotta read the fine print.

I take Lisinopril. I had the cough for a brief time when I first started, but no longer. The medication is inexpensive and seems to work for me.
