Weak logic, that totally FAILS. How could Kerry have POSSIBLY been worse than the worst president of my lifetime? That makes no logical sense at all!

I worked for Kerry, even though I didn't like him. I just felt Bush was too friggin' DUMB to grant a second term to, and I was RIGHT.

Saddam was a threat to his neighbors - He had invaded Kuwait and Saudi and Iran and tossed scuds at Israel. Check the last country named here and you will most likely see the push behind the scenes for the 2nd Gulf War.

A decade after the first Gulf war , at the start of second Gulf War, Saddam had no navy, no air force and no land based military capable of actions beyond his borders. Two thirds of his country's air space was patrolled by the US Air Force. The north third, the Kurdish region, was pretty much independent. A few months before the war the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs stated that Saddam was not a threat to his neighbors. That Chairman retired.

Iraq had WMD and had used them before in the Iran war and against his own people. This is fact. He had them in the first gulf war but did not use them.

There are two reasons why Saddam did not use WMD during the first Gulf War. Reason #1 is that chemical and biologicals are not effective in the middle of the desert against a prepared enemy, and the US Army was very well prepared. Civilians in a city is one thing. WMD are worthless against M1 tanks with air intakes filtered through the heat of the tank's gas turbine engines.

Reason #2 was that Saddam was warned: Use WMD and the UN resolution limiting military actions to the eviction of Iraq from Kuwait will be disregarded. In other words, you're toast. Saddam understood.

This is fact. It was very believable that he still had them.

It wasn't believable. Go back and watch Colin Powell's presentation to the United Nations before the second Gulf War. There was not a single shred of evidence of WMD presented. There was no defector saying: "This is where the WMD are." There was zero physical evidence. One would assume the NSA had every phone in Baghdad tapped. Zippo. There was a hand drawn picture of a crop duster aircraft modified to spray something. There was a recorded conversation that I took to mean the exact opposite of what Powell claimed. A thousand UN inspectors in Iraq for years couldn't find the WMD that the CIA 'knew" existed.

The only thing believable is that the Cheney was a paranoid whacko didn't let the facts get in the way of what he "knew".
